License To Carry Training

Obtaining your LTC is actually a four step process:
1. Successfully completing the LTC class training and shooting proficiency
2. Completing the state application
3. Electronic fingerprinting
4. Submitting the classroom completion documentation (LTC-100)

Our LTC Course is approximately 4 1/2 hours long and consists of 4 modules:
Laws That Relate to Weapons and to the Use of Force/Deadly Force
Handgun Use and Safety
Non-Violent Dispute Resolution
Proper Storage Practices for Handguns.

At the end of the classroom instruction there is a 25 question Multiple Choice/True & False test and also a Handgun Proficiency Shooting requirement. Upon passing both the test and shooting proficiency you will receive documentation (LTC-100 Form) showing you have completed the training.

State Application Requirements
The application process can be competed online at: www.dps.texas.gov
Although it is not required, we recommend completing the State application process before your training class.
After completing the application you will receive a link

This starts the background check process and upon completion of the training, you will scan and submit the LTC-100 and any supporting documents electronically at:

This is the perfect class for those with little or no handgun experience. A "Pre-LTC" course that ensures that students will leave this class confident and prepared for their Concealed Handgun License training. We cover topics such as the 4 Rules of Gun Safety, proper grip, trigger control, how to use your sights, and many others. This class could be called Handgun 101, and if the students do not own a gun yet, they can use one of ours.

Fee: $50 per person
